Summary:
This book is about this girl, Loa, whose life changes after her little sister,Asta, dies. Loa was so used to taking care of Asta the when she died she was lost, because Asta was part of her whole life, when her parents were working she would be the one taking care of her. Since her sister died the family becomes disfunctional, arguments break out and sometimes they go days without talking to each other. To add more to the story Loa's childhood best friend dies in an accident. Loa is marked by the death of her best friend and her little sister that she has trouble sleeping and even sometimes relies on alcohol to try to forget the pain. Loa is lost and throughout the story tries to find herself. She talks about certain things that happened from before Asta died through when she died, to what she is doing for her future, and what happens to her family.
My Opinion:
The character in the story really has a voice and there are some instances in which I can relate to her.I really liked this book because it's a lot different from what I usually read.
